This is an example of the relatively new, innovative carpet cleaning method best suited to interim cleaning on low pile commercial grade carpets. The technology uses a polymer or crystal that literally encapsulates soil particles on contact. The solution used is applied to, and agitated into the carpets using the CYMEX machine shown. As the solution dries, the crystal encapsulates the soil particles, which are then removed through routine and or follow up vacuuming. The product can continue to work for several vacuumings, thus encapsulating and removing soil that has been introduced to the carpets after the initial cleaning.
Encapsulation, or Dry Carpet Cleaning methods are better known as “very low moisture” (VLM) systems. VLM cleaning results in carpets that dry fast, improve carpet beautification, and can aid in achieving U.S. Green Building Council Leadership in Energy and Design (LEED) certification. This system works especially well in commercial applications.
